Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data Pure Blog Discover collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. Last updated: .
Who we are
Pure Blog Discover (discover.thinkroot.xyz) is operated by ThinkRoot. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at discover@thinkroot.xyz.
Data collected when you submit a blog
When you submit a blog to the directory, the following information is stored:
- Blog URL and name — provided by you, publicly displayed in the directory.
- Blog description and language — automatically detected from the submitted page, publicly displayed.
- Feed URL — automatically detected, used to aggregate recent articles.
- Submission IP address hash — a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your IP address, stored temporarily to enforce the rate limit of 3 submissions per hour. This hash is automatically purged after 1 hour and is never displayed publicly.
Blog submissions are permanent unless you request removal. To have your blog removed from the directory, send an email to discover@thinkroot.xyz.
Server logs
Like all web servers, our hosting provider automatically records standard access logs including IP addresses, browser user agents, requested URLs, and timestamps. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and troubleshooting. Retention period depends on the hosting provider's configuration (typically 30 to 90 days).
Cookies and local storage
Pure Blog Discover uses a single browser preference stored via localStorage:
- pb-theme — stores your chosen colour scheme (light or dark). This value never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server.
No tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or persistent session cookies are set for regular visitors. A temporary session cookie is used exclusively for the password-protected administration panel and is discarded when the browser session ends.
Feed aggregation
To power the Latest Articles page, our server periodically fetches the RSS feeds of listed blogs. These requests are made server-side using the user agent PureBlogDiscoverBot/1.0. No personal data is transmitted during this process.
Third-party services
The following third-party services are used by this site:
-
Google Fonts — the Lora and DM Sans typefaces are loaded from
fonts.googleapis.com. When your browser loads these fonts, your IP address is sent to Google. See Google's Privacy Policy. -
Google Favicons API — blog and article listings display favicon images fetched client-side from
www.google.com/s2/favicons. Your browser sends a request to Google for each favicon displayed. See Google's Privacy Policy.
No analytics services, advertising networks, or social media tracking pixels are used.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Blog listing data (name, URL, description, language) is publicly displayed as it is the core purpose of the directory.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request removal of your blog from the directory at any time.
- Request information about what data is stored about a submission you made.
- Object to the listing of your content in the directory.
To exercise any of these rights, send an email to discover@thinkroot.xyz. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
