About Pure Blog Discover
A community directory for blogs and websites built on the Pure Blog platform. Anyone with a Pure Blog site can add it and get listed automatically. No account needed, no waiting for manual approval.
How it started
Pure Blog Discover started from a simple observation: there was no dedicated community directory for blogs built on Pure Blog. The list at werschreibt.de.cool provided early inspiration with its curated examples of Pure Blog sites. But there was no open directory where anyone could submit their own blog and have it listed in a searchable, filterable collection.
Pure Blog Discover fills that gap: an independent, community-run directory where Pure Blog users can add their site in less than a minute, with no account and no manual approval. The official Pure Blog directory is also available at roll.pureblog.org, maintained by the Pure Blog team.
How detection works
When you submit a blog, the server automatically fetches the page and checks for several key characteristics specific to the Pure Blog platform. If enough signals are found, the blog is approved instantly, with no manual review.
If your blog is not detected automatically, the easiest fix is to add this tag to your Pure Blog template:
<meta name="generator" content="Pure Blog">
If you prefer not to add this tag, you can contact us at discover@thinkroot.xyz and the blog will be added manually.
Who built this
Pure Blog Discover was built by ThinkRoot. The goal was to create something useful for the Pure Blog community - a simple, open directory where anyone can add their blog without friction.
Add a badge to your blog
If your blog is listed in the directory, you can add a badge to your site to let visitors know.
How to contribute
The project is open source under the MIT License. The source code is available on Forgejo.
If you find a bug or have an idea for improvement, you can open an issue or submit a pull request on Forgejo.
If you know a Pure Blog site that is not listed, you can submit it directly from the directory or send the link to discover@thinkroot.xyz.
The spirit of the project is to keep things simple: no frameworks, no databases, minimal dependencies.
